Has anyone ever heard of a wireless starter kill relay?

I recently bought a 2005 Durango that came with an extra fob. My problem was I had to use this fob to get the starter to engage. The Durango doesn't have a factory alarm. After I got it home I took it to a local shop and they looked for over 2 hours trying to find the alarm. No luck. I called the dealer and they had also looked for it but couldn't find it. I guess we got lucky. We were trying to figure it out. When you turned the key without using the fob you could hear a clicking sound that sounded like it was under the dash. After crawling under there we realized it was coming from under the hood. We opened the relay box and found a weird aftermarket relay. After replacing this the starter works fine.
