I ordered a amp froom ebay a few weeks ago.. Well the amp was shipped to the wrong address and is now gone... The shipping address is on my paypal address so they obviously f*cked up on their end.. anyways has anyone else dealt with a claim from payapl and should i expect to get any money back.. Im out 300 bucks and i feel like its not my fault that they shipped it to the wrong address. Also how long does it usually take after i escalate to a claim.

well it isn't your fault so **** that. fight it. you should get a refund.

anyways wait a while for him to respond on the paypal thing. if you automatically escalate it to a claim they wont do anything for you. give him a while to respond like 2 weeks and if nothing was said then escalate to a claim.

If they can't provide tracking information, you win. If the tracking info shows it was delivered to an address other than what you had listed as your confirmed address, you win. I would just escalate it now.

yea i filed a dipute and waited like 2 weeks... the seller didnt answer me for a while until i threatened to escalte the claim..he said that the shipping labels are printed automatically so they couldnt of messed up...then i wrote ups an email and asked them where the package was shipped to . they responded and sure enough it was shipped to street # 704 not 404.. i posted that on the claim. Then the seller said that they contacted UPS and they were goin to pick up the package from the addy it was sent to and redeliver to me.. This is like 2 weeks after i was supposed to get it so i knew the amp was long goe..poundin sosme1 else subs. Anyways i had already purchased another amp so i really dont need it anymore... I escalated the case on dec 1st and its currently under review...i hope i get the $ back b4 x-mas..have any of you gotten a full refund and actually got the m oney back?

paypal SUCKS with claims.

I believe it's 30 days after you file the claim. In my experience, I filed a dispute, immediately escalated it to a claim, it's been 15 days since the claim was filed, and they're still "awaiting the other party's response".

Good luck, and in the future use a credit card so you can just do a chargeback.

yea like i said i waited like 2 weeks then escalated it..i just cant see how they can justify not giving my money back...I provided the email UPS sent me proving that the package was not shipped to my address...I feel like i fufilled my end by paying for the amp ...i never received it...it wasnt sent to my address .....so how cant i get a refund....and i know the ebay company i bought it from has money in their account they have thousands or feedback and hundreds of sales a day... Ive heard of paypal granted a refund to ppl but the person who jerked the other has no money in there account so the claiment gets jack sh*t....anyways keep the paypal claims storys coming..it will give me a good idea what to expect

"You can open a dispute in the Resolution Center within 45 calendar days of payment. By opening a dispute, you are able to communicate directly with your seller to work out a problem transaction.

If you and your seller are unable to agree on a solution, you must escalate the dispute to a PayPal claim within 20 calendar days of the date the dispute was opened. By escalating to a claim, you would be asking PayPal to review the case and decide the outcome."
