Harness won't fit used 9835

I picked up a used Alpine 9835 off Ebay that is in like new condition. I got it to upgrade the HU in my truck, but when I went to plug the harness into the HU it just plain won't go. Pins look good, and I visually see no reason it souldn't work. Should I push harder or?....

Is it the harness that came with the HU or from you previous HU.

the 9835 takes the standard alpine white 16-pin connector...if yours is black, i don't think it'll work

It's the one sent with the unit, and I believe it's the white one.
