I get the harmon for under 120 shipped while the logitech can be had for 145. I know the logitech is an amazing unit and typically a top rated one at that. I'm coming from the sony rm 3000 series so i'm used to that but can become happy with a new style. any personal recommendations/suggestions?

the screens look identical but ive never used the kardon specs look similiar but i didnt look at them much. i do know i love my 880 and the way it looks and never one problem ever.

and i know their warranty is awesome they will send you a replacement remote and then you send them your fualty unit back in the packaging ive heard of them doing that many times.

no glitches or anything with mine so far ive had it for like 3 months and did i say how sexy it looks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i have the very first harmony that came out a few years ago, and it still works like a champ

survived a year+ at my parents house, and an entire year living with 3 roomates in a partyhouse

they're solid remotes, and the macro functions are aweseome, but i think they all do that

they automatically navigate all the menus in your tv for repeated tasks, and keep track of what's on, and what needs to be switched, and how to switch between sources, etc.

so regardless of whether or not your tv has a simple 'source' button, it will go through the menus and select the correct source, change your receiever, turn things on or off, all you have to do is press the source you want to watch, and it does the rest. even turns the ps2 and xbox on and off, and it's all programmed over the computer, you don't have to teach it anything, which is a blessing for things you've lost the remotes to, like my dad's old late-80's big screen that hasn't had a remote for years

yeah my 5yr old sony doesn't do that sadly. you have to program all of the things and some of my stuff (DVR) is too new so it doesn't do all the functions. that's my main concern is 1 touch easy on/off and that it'll program my DVR.

hey 1loud, do you happen to use time warner dvr? if you do how does the logitech do with it?
sorry for taking so long but i dont have warner i have scientific atlanta. aka charter and it works flawlessly my girl uses it all the time without any problems. and if she does have problems she pushes hte help button and it does everything for her.

oh yah im loking at the philips from above post and it looks dam sleek. just looks a little big but i dunno have to play with it. depending how much i spend on my towers ill be getting the new harmony 1000 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
