2 real quickies

2 quick questions for whomever thanks ahead for any input...

with the 06 alpine 9857 would the best way to work with my subwoofer be:

disconnect "remote gain controller"

set gains on amp correctly

use the subwoofer level on HU 0-20 to get desired bass level?

should i set the gains while that level is at 0 or at 20...if i set at 20 then i will be able to turn bass level down via headunit...if i set while it is a 0 i will only be able to turn it up? Is that how it works im not sure.

Second question...

I understand when your voltage dips down low because your using more current that is available but lately when my subwoofer level is high up (0-20) in the like 16/17 range i get "High Voltage" reading. Can someone explain?

doesnt matter, just remember that once you set your amp gain, any cutting or boosting could make your amp or deck clip at a different volume

is the 0-20 scale for subwoofer a boost or a level...is turning that down on the HU like turning down the gains?

if you turn it up or down, the voltage to the sub will go up or down just like the amp gain, deck volume, bass boost etc

alright so really i should set my amp gains with everyone on my HU on 0....

do you have any idea with the voltage question?
