Hard Drive help

I have another computer that I put more hard drives in but they don't show up under my computer or allow me to install anything on them. The hard drives show up on the device manager and when I go to the properties of that hardrive it says it is working like it should. Why are the hard drives not recognized under "my computer"?

x2.. you need to format a drive before windows will recognize it

Are they recognized in 'Disk Management'? You can find this in Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management. It's here I think you're going to find your answer.

If the drive doesn't have any recognizable partitions already on it, this is the location you need to go to.

if they are already partitioned and formatted maybe you need to assign them drive letters...

Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk management
