Most of the people who work in our government, do so as a long life-long commitment to service. The USA is the youngest superpower, and is still learning democracy. We're still making laws to improve the government and the country. How long do you think it's supposed to take a country to start, create laws, grow, and get it perfect??? Of course there are people who are in it for their own gain, but for SOME PEOPLE, as long as they claim to be on your side, you're happy to go along with the lie.

I'm not a Trumper, and that's the division you're falling for on your side and your beliefs, and we don't live in a democracy, we live in a constitutional republic. Agreed, but (IMHO), the GOP should have stepped up and participated more in what is a serious matter. Unfortunately, the GOP left the Jan 6th committee completely in the hands of those who wanted to bludgeon Trump.

I think you're misunderstanding @Buck. He doesn't see it as a US thing. In his view this something going back hundreds if not thousands of years. A grand conspiracy against humanity if you will. Covid is part of a vast conspiracy, the vaccine is another part of the conspiracy. The US and Trump just happen to be actors in this grand drama. I'm not sure why he seems to think Trump is some sort of savior, since Trump is responsible for Warp Speed.

I think the issue with gov't isn't it's size, but rather who do they answer to - the voters or the lobbyists and numerous PACs? They (both sides) have us worried about whether pre-pubescent kids can take powerful hormone blockers and surgically alter their bodies or read a racey book that contains homosexuality, while they refuse to regulate crypto, AI, Big Pharma, etc.

If people really believe in democracy and the justice system, they need to start remembering that people are INNOCENT until proven guilty. How many times have people made the wrong accusations? Even the Steele dossier. It was proven that the democrats set it up, but... The Jan. 6 issue was proven to also be a setup, but they still try to push it and not show the facts.

- Fact, Republicans entered the capital.
- One person was killed and that was by a law enforcement agent and the person was unarmed.
- Fact, although it was considered as the worse riot in history, the House resumed their meeting, in the same building, that same evening.

- Fact, in 2020 Democrats riot in the streets of all over the US.
- Many people died.
- Fact, 3.5 years later, many buildings are still in ruins.

Honestly, which riot is worse?

Not intended to start strife. I specifically remember you giving Trump a pass on warp speed, claiming "they fooled him." You have claimed Trump was standing in the way of the "One World Order." I'm pretty sure it was you that claimed the Coronavirus was released to undermine Trump and get him out of office or maybe you just posted and article/tweet making that claim. Perhaps you've changed your position on Trump/Warp Speed, but I don't recall seeing it. And just to be clear, I'm not trying to portray you as a "Trumpist." IMHO, you see Trump more like the knight on a chess board, rather than a rook, king or queen.

But given that the most thoroughly investigated election in our lifetime has turned up zero evidence I find it quite confusing that people "feel a certain way." Especially given that the investigations were conducted by the GOP.

There are things we see that most don't, or refuse, to see. Let me ask you a question. What did Trump do to start an Insurrection or try do to destroy democracy?

I never said Trump is guilty of anything. And clearly you are unaware of what the Steele Dossier. It's common for intel dossiers to contain a bunch of "less probable intel" along with the good and probable intel. Although it's a popular narrative, the Steele Dossier was not "entirely false." The Steele Dossier contained good intel, so-so intel and some crap intel.

As for why Trump is being "attacked" every time he exits his spray tan booth, I think there are many reasons. A bunch of Dems have lost their minds over Trump and will go to any length to discredit him. Trump acted like a complete arse while he was POTUS and the left feels his bad behaviour justifies theirs. Jan 6th is scary to many people, so they don't want Trump in office again due to his role in Jan 6th and because it's likely Trump will resist leaving office should he lose another election. The fact that Putin is such a Trump fan is disturbing. I think the Colorado ballot case may be a false flag case since it's an obvious loser of a case and was brought by 4 Republicans and 2 unaffiliated voters. WhyTF, Colorado's Supreme Court ruled against Trump is beyond me. I agree attacking Trump in court is insanity since I think it benefits Trump far more than harms him and any case he wins is like double bonus points for Trump. Maybe the Dems are desperately hoping one this cases torpedo's Trump and then they can walk away from Sleepy Joe. I don't know who is running the show at the WH, but it isn't Biden. If Kamahla is running some sort of shadow Presidency, I have admit I'm kinda impressed.

Given that Trump's time in office was cratered by a pandemic, I don't see how there is even a basis for fair comparison to any of his contemporaries.
