I have had a dell laptop for 3 years and a dell desktop for 5 years with zero problems out of both. Never had to deal with their support so I can't comment on that.

I agree with the above on making sure that enough is being directed to your video card. Check to make sure that the max is being allowed under shared memory. Also, run a memory diagnostic tool to ensure that your RAM is not going bad.

I broke the headphone jack on my lappy, and a dude was out the next day to replace the whole mobo.

Anyhow, my machine is running fine-- no spyware or viruses, 2gb of ram, the hard drive is a bit full, but not pushed to the limit (15gb free out of 80gb) 1.66ghz centrino duo. I did the Windows rating thingy, and everything was in the upper 4's except for anything pertaining to video.

Oh, and I just put 2gb of ram in about 2 mos ago. It was lagging before that... I've just gotten to the point that i'm annoyed.

Yeah, he mentioned it was integrated. I was thinking he wanted to add a vid card like you can do on some high level laptops.

Integrated sucks and you've probably done all you can do.

Its normally in the bios or advanced bios on boot-up...not in Windows.
