H/U ground to factory or chasis??

my 2001 chrystler concord has a braided strap on the original head unit i replaced with some jensen H/U im using the braided strap right now should i be? i got a 2006 kicker S12L5 in the trunk

If the braided wire is a true ground, then it's not bad, but I'm a fand of grounding everything directly to the chasis. That way, you know that you have a solid ground that's not going to move around or come lose.

While a direct-to-chassis ground connection certainly won't be bad advice I feel the need to add if you make your connections properly the first (and every) time you shouldn't have to worry about things moving around or coming loose no matter where said connections are.

Soldered connections covered in heatshrink ftw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
