The "why not" is that when it comes to giving up your individual freedoms to the government, you don't start the process going by allowing the first inch into your citizen ***...LOL!

Funny thing about freedom...those who would take it away come from both the Left and the Right. Keep your eyes open.

this is completely stupid. this will cause ammo prices to rise and they are already high enough. if a criminal knows he has a coded bullet w/ it tying to him he wont shoot anyone with it. they will go steal which will cause a rise in robbery and home invasions. this is a horrible idea only hurting the law abiding citizen.

I honestly dont see the big deal. Unless cost of ammunition go up, but other than that, people who do target practicing will just be wasting space on a computer. Who cares.

True, but then that will lead to more dead criminals. If they intentionally try to rob someone from thier bullets, then the owner most likely will have a gun and kill them legally. So it ballances out. Most criminals dont think anyways, so they probly wont even think about it.
