A couple weeks ago, my girlfriend and my son was with me in her car. We pulled into a parking lot and when we did, this crazy guy peeled out of control, screaming at someone on his cell phone and almost hit us. The only thing that kept him from hitting me was me blowing my horn to get his attention. He slammed on his brakes and got out and ran over screaming his crazy mind off about something, and opened my door. I pulled my .45 and asked him to lower his voice, cause my son and wife (oops I lied to him, oh well) were in the car. I told him not to move or he dies. My old lady called the police, and they came and picked him up. Turns out he was wanted in three state for attempted homicides. I am crippled as ****, so I probably couldn't have fought him off. I saved my family that day.

Thought about that man, but I didn't want my 10 month olds first memory was his daddy killing someone. I really had him locked in my sites and he knew it, so he didn't move. Even when the people came out of the store asking questions, I warned him not to move 1 inch. If he would have, I probably would have done something.

I'm all for gun control....especially when you are blasting the bad guy to Hell. Gotta make sure you keep the muzzle on him/her. Aim for center mass and control that gun!

my definition of control: able to hit your target. i carry a shotgun in my car, sometime s loaded or unloaded. am i scare of getting pulled over? no. if they dont ask about me having a gun, i wont tell. if they do see it, i just tell them i was going to the range(since i carry extra slugs and a ear piece and targets too.) but im not a probable cause to get pulled over, nor i brake any traffic laws to even get a route traffic stop. a simple busted head/tail light, or not making a turn signal when turning, or even making an illegal U-Turn can lead to an arrest from weapons possession or drug possession too if the person had it in their car.

i really don't consider myself a liberal or a conservative but i defiantly think Micheal Moore is a VERY good liar/ trickster...but the founding fathers gave you the right to bear arms...pretty much top of the list...so i don't think its smart to fudge with that....but what do i know..bishes don't know **** about politics.

It's illegal to commit crimes with guns already... so what is a law saying you cannot HAVE guns going to do? Simply disarm law abiding citizens. Outlawing guns to prevent crime is a logical fallacy.

Gun control isn't going to help anything, because most of the people using guns in the wrong manner have stolen them or have them illegally. So, regardless, criminals are still going to get guns and the rest of the people are going to be left out to dry. If this is a serious topic, I could really go on for awhile about gun control. It is something I feel very strongly about. You just need to know that the Right to Bear Arms is the SECOND amendment, not the 10th, 15th, 20th or so on, the founding fathers felt it was important to have ownership of weapons right behind freedom of religion and speech. Governments can't really enslave you when you and a whole population are packing all kinds of firearms.

Another thing to note is that the politicians pushing for gun control and the ones who make the restrictive laws have no real expertise in firearms. Some politicians think they are going to try and make us safe while others just want absolute power over the people.

When they bring up, "the founding fathers didn't expect people to have grenade launchers and machine guns!!!" I call BS. During the American Revolution many of the "WMD's" of the time were the cannons, mortars and naval vessels and guess what, most of them were privately owned. That means that people owned them not just the government.

Another thing, the media likes to say "Assault Weapon" or assault rifle. It is extremely difficult and expensive to fill out the paper work in process in order to buy a Class 3 NFA firearm. People should be allowed to own semi-auto handguns and rifles with normal capacity magazines in order to keep criminals and the gov't fearful. Those pushing for gun control use their emotions and fear tactics to push their agenda. There is nothing to be worried about when it comes to guns. Those columbine kids could have just gotten a car, loaded it up with barrels of homemade napalm and crashed them into the school still causing mayhem. "Oh no maybe we should ban cars and gasoline!"

/endrant. I'm obviously not very busy today. If you do want to learn more I suggest you browse a gun forum like THR, thefiringline, arfcom, calguns, etc... they are very helpful and take this ish seriously.

That is why I am glad to live in the great old state of Texas. They passed a law about a year and a half ago stating you could carry a loaded hand gun in your vehicle to and from work/home WITHOUT a CHL. There are several loopholes in this law. Main one being how would they prove that you weren't going home if you were going to a friends house etc.... They made the law like such for such flexibility.

So I carry a .40 Glock in the center console of my truck. Now remember also, that if you have a CHL or if you live in Texas with this law, if you are impaired, drug or alcohol, and you have the gun with you, automatic felony. I think some people fail to forget that in Texas.

I feel keeping a hand gun in the truck and a 12 gauge shotgun in the house is needed, unless you live in a rural area, like my old town in Oklahoma of 1200 people where everyone knew everyone. But having a shotgun in your vehicle isn't very handy when in most instances when you need it, someone runs up to your window to jack you. Can't grab your shotgun out of truck very well and very quickly. Much easier to cock a hangun back alot easier too than a shotgun when sitting in a car/pickup
