Grounds...

Turn the meter to ohms and touch the leads of the dmm together; this will give you the resistance of the meter itself. Subtract this from the result of measuring the resistance of the ground. You will get a more precise value.

all electrical in the vehicle grounds to the battery, thus the ideal ground. For low current applications you can just ground to the frame and let the frame ground back to the battery but for higher amperage it is best to run a ground to the battery up front as there is much less resistance in properly sized wire than there is in the frame.

From what I've heard the average unibody has the resistance approximately equal to 2 gauge wire. Actual solid box frames have current carrying capacity far exceeding 1/0 wire.

Its too bad almost no one uses box frames anymore except for trucks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Also those numbers dont include the added resistance of spot welds, paint, dirt, etc.
