im having engine noise coming from the tweeters and when i unplug the RCA from the amp i goes away.
I already checked my main ground and it is good. It is connected to chassis and it is sanded and bolted in tight as possible. From the distro block to the amp it is a 3.5 ft wire. At first i had it at 5 ft but i reduced it down to 3.5 and it didnt help at all.
I checked for pinched wires and i also made sure all my crimps were covered with electrical tape. I tried a different pair of RCA that are connected to the rear speaker wires in the trunk and it actually became worse.
I am using two LOC's. One tapped intot eh factory radio harness and one in the trunk tapped into the speaker wires. i tried grounding the LOC in the trunk (rears) and it didnt do anything. The front LOC has not yet been grounded but since it didnt do any improvements in the rears im pretty sure it wont help much in the front.
My power and RCA are ran on opposite sides.
Im not sure what else i can check except change my HU ground. im guessing i would have to tap into the radio harness and reground the ground wire. I was wondering instead of clipping the wire can i splice it? Would the HU just choose the best ground route? can i just use remote turn on wire as the ground wire? i have some extra remote turn on so im planning on using that.
if its not the ground on HU the last thing i can think of is the LOC itself. im using two hiltron LOC purchased from million buy.
