Would I be fine?

I was thinking about purchasing a high output alt. for my car, but due to it being foreign many quotes I've got are really high. I was looking at these two options.

1) Two Kinetik HC1400 in the trunk, stock alt.

2) 150(maybe more) amp alt. & one HC1400

I assume the new alt. would be better for daily but my concern was that I don't listen to my system constatly. Such as I go long periods of driving with the subs not even up. So the stock alt. could charge the batteries? Looking to put a xx herc in the car. Which would I be better off doing? Does option 1) seem like it would work?
