Ground got pulled out, now can't go over 18 volume (amp cuts out)

Yes the 2nd battery would be way more help then a cap due to how a cap works. The cap can act as a load on you alt as well as the amp it self. The caps actually discharge completely and require to be be recharged. When playing a music daily, your alt is forced to feed the cap as well as the amp at the same time so its more strain on your electrical system. VS a battery can help you voltage remain more stable as it takes less effort to charge a battery because it doesnt have to completely disscharge it self. so in other words when a cap fully disscharges your alt has to "Fully recharge" it and a battery maintains it charge and its less stress. You may not dim with the cap but it can cause other problems like make your ALT over work it self trying to keep up with the amp & cap, and the battery will keep its charge because its not going to go completely dead with the car vehicle running.
The big 3 is a electrical wiring up grade. Its really just upgrading your alternators main charging wire to a bigger gauge than the stock probably 8-10 gauge that it comes with, and the upgrading the factory ground to cars body and another to the engine it self. it helps to complete the circut in your electrical system and it will be able to deliver more current.

Big 3:

1. Upgrade Alt charging wire that runs to the battery under hood to a bigger gauge wire

2. Upgrade the stock ground from the negitive battery post to body with a bigger gauge wire

3. Add a 2nd ground from the negitive battery post to the engine block(
I google big 3 kits and there are a ton of different packages ranging from $50-$120. Now, off what I have, would I need the $120 package or would a $50 be sufficient? I know my system isnt huge but I know its not a little one either.

You've got a 110A alt stock, which isn't bad. That amp doesn't put out but 900 watts at best. I'd think you have some installation issues if you're dimming that bad with that setup in your vehicle. Years ago I had a Monte Carlo with the same motor running right at 1000 rms and had no issues, that's without an extra battery or HO alt.

Sorry for the double post, you don't need a kit, as long as you have a soldering iron. Just get some 0 gauge wire (preferably OFC) and some terminals and cut it yourself.
I do wanna say the alt is stock but the current engine in it is a 305hp crate motor running with a turbo, if that makes a huge difference or not to the situation hah. A buddy has an iron I could use, and the wire would easy enough to grab. Now, stupid question i know, would the wiring that I would have to replace/upgrade would be just the wire from battery to the back, correct?

No, check the wiring/installation board here. There's a sticky thread that gives a rundown of what you need to do for the Big 3 upgrade. If not, just Google it. It's a wiring upgrade under the hood FYI. But you still want to get rid of that cap, it's doing more harm than good.

I was just re-reading your posts, how long is your ground wire? You want it as short as possible, if its the length of your trunk, you should shorten the wire and ground elsewhere as well.

Any bigger size wire is better then the stock so yea lol

From cap to frame, just shy of 2ft roughly guessing.

Okay sounds good lol. Now, my original question was, why is it now being faulty after the ground came out? Do you have any ideas? Even just a quick fix to get it back to working the way it was before?

its hard to tell honestly, again to me it sounds like something with your cap. You said your cap shows voltage, what did it use to say voltage wise before this happend?

why would you has Kicker's, if you have that engine in a GP you has problems.
