Ground Connetion starting to corrode

I Installed my amp about 6 months ago and I checked the ground connection today and theres small amount of corrosion forming around it. I assume that this isn't good, But what would I do to stop the corrosion?

put some coke on it. then clean it up.

coat it with caulk?

some of that battery terminal grease?

I thought the ground connection was supposed to be clean of all dirt/grease?

It is clean of dirt and grease at the time you actually make the connection. You apply the grease or spraypaint after you connect the ground. This seals the connection and prevents the corrosion from re-occuring.

What Kind of grease should I cover it in? And should I disconnect the negative battery terminal before doing it or does that not really matter?

wire brush it off and get a tube of dielectric grease, or i use siliglide cause its around the shop for brake jobs.....
