Great 8 inch subwoofers???

I have played with afew 8's. sundown sa8,re audio re8,DD 1508,cadence zr8,rockford he8,DC level2 8,audioque sd2.0 8,soundsplinter rlp8,elementaldesigns e3.8,Americanbass xd8. They all make good 8's but i would take DD sundown or american bass handsdown!!!!! I am doing a build right now in my mustang 12 8" americanbass XD's on 4krms wall build....

and op when i had the 3 cadence cf cap 8's in a prefab ported i was running the re 35.1d i sold imtjnotu at 1.6 ohm plus rise who knows maybe 2ohm and it was loud and moved good air

Absolute audio, what do you think of the RE 8s, the AQ 8s?

The re8 and sd2.0 are very very much alike in output.... They both excel in ported enclosures and can take 2x the rated rms. As far as build quality they fall short compared to the sa8 1508 and xd8. They are a great option if your looking to run a 8' setup on lower power...

Well I have a 2k max for 4 8s. Have 1k now until another amp comes in.

What do you think of the dad and AA? That aa looks intense

For the aq and re, would 1000rms over four, would they like it?

You could probably run 2krms to a pair of sa8s if you were careful, I was doing 143s with a pair of them. I have a buddy who is trying to get rid of four of them actually //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Ill nut hug on the sa8s, Ive had tons of them and had them in all different size boxes and tunings and never failed on my and always sounded pretty good.

Jeez man.lol. Now I feel 2k isnt enough for 4, but id rather run 4 at rated than 4 at twice rate and potentially blowing them

I need to get one and try it out (Atomic)-- I expect, based on the specs, that it would perform similarly to an SA-8 with SPL coil but probably with a higher thermal capacity as IIRC it has a 2.5" coil.
