if we're going for least cyl, Technically Rx-7's are a 3 cyl and they're twin turbocharged.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
rx7s are rotary engines and dont have cylinders. a geo metro however is a 3 cyl.

You can get a decent Mustang GT in that range. Mine has never let me down.
Are 1st gen WRX's down that low yet? I haven't looked in a while. Suv's are tough, they cost more than you get out of them IMO. Some pickups can be had for that price too, I always liked the Dakota R/T.

Anyway, I'd just get on http://www.traderonline.com and go nuts searching everything in that range.

WRX's aren't that cheap, I believe. Don't quote me on that tho.

I owed a Dakota R/T(99) reg cab. Great truck. Pretty quick 14.9@91 mph. My 'stang(87) hasn't let me down either. The options are endless. Just no chevy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

4cyl....if you think it's gonna give you 4cyl milage guess again. i get freakin truck milage and my friends rex got waaay worse milage than me. just cuz it's a "4cyl" doesn't mean anything....you know it has a turbo and puts out more power than an ordinary contemporary 4cyl would....so why would you expect it to use any less gas than a 6 cyl that is just as powerful?
corolla = crap-ola, nuff asid //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif not even cuz it's cheap dont even try to start with that
First, I never made a gas mileage related statement. Second, compared to other mentioned automobiles (the Cobra, Mustang GT, Chevy Blazer), it STILL gets better gas mileage.

Your miles per gallon depend on your transmission, the way you drive, the weight of you car, whether or not your air conditioner is running, whether or not your windows are rolled up, and the weather. So its no surprise that someone with a turbocharged rally car can get worse gas mileage than you.

And about your "why would you expect it to use any less gas than a 6 cyl that is just as powerful" statement (aside from me never mentioning MPG, of course), the Mazda 6 (V6) puts out 220 horsepower and gets 19 MPG, while the WRX puts out 227 horsepower and gets 20 MPG. "Displacement" would be the answer to your question.

I'm not trying to be a dick, by the way, just proving my point.

Oh, and I have a Corolla and "crap-ola" doesn't really bother me.

I know, and there's 3 rottary engines, stacked on the top of each other. And i bet if you open one up and looked down at it its in the shape of a cylinder. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Someone obviously doesn't know what he is talking about ...
BTW, the Corolla is one of the most reliable cars on the market ...
Jmac if you'd direct your attention to my first post where i said Technically. Yes there are 3 seperate chambers in an Rx-7's rotary engine. They are in the shape of a cylinder. This will have to be chalked up to one of the many times you've been wrong. Don't make me bring up the Force equation you had no idea you were talking about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

as long as it has radi, 2 bases and an altatiude it is a cylinder. If you're talking about a more specific cylinder, such as a "right circular cylinder". Then yes it would have to be a circle, but i simply said Cylinder shape. So why don't yall back the **** off. Anyone will take jabs if they think they're right, but why don't you sit down. All i said was TECHNICALLY the rotary engine is 3 cylinders. Do yall just like being jackass and picking fights? I'm just defending my statement.

maybe it is similiar to 3 cylinders but in car engine terms, It has no cylinders, its a rotary engine........................

Hey Smullen, Have you had any peoblems with your factory side mirrors breaking off on your S series? I have a 98 S-10 and both side mirrors broke off within a month of each other just out of the blue while driving. I have also seen alot of other S series of that style driving around with one or no mirrors.
