Its not a very quality oriented receiver for video..No HDMI inputs?
YepCan't have it all for under $200.
I can see how you say hdmi is over-rated...but not really. You turn 5 wires into 1, and you get better audio and video.HDMI is overrated. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
exactly. You only say that when you haven't had the joy of experiencing it.
Yeah its alot easier for the average consumer to install, and even easier for the experts.HDMI sure beats running component video to 3 separate sources
B.S- A higher quality HDMI cable will produce a better picture than a High quality Component set.It IS overrated. It is a convenient connection, but it doesn't offer anymore performance than using component video + digital audio out.
Yeah component will do 1080p, Although you will get a better picture with HDMI depending on which brand, build you go with etc... butComponent will do 1080P. The **** mfgs are trying to shove HDMI down your throats and for the most part, people are buying into the marketing. It offers no advantage and in some case can be more costly and harder to implement over a large system. For most "average" consumers that would be a moot point, but a point nonetheless.
Buying 3 HDMI cables would be alot easier, and you get better quality. So, instead of buying just 3 hdmi cables, I should go buy 3 component leads and 2 optical cables? Seems alittle contradictory to the budget argument. Not to mention an inconvience of double switching inputs...
