Look at all that thermal paste under the transistors and is that cardboard I see under the power torrids? I would also like to know how it makes 4200 watts RMS with such a small number of transistors

I have a 2K6d that we have used a good bit.

Pulled a 149.0 with a DD3518 and the amp wired at .5, The internal 175 AMP buss fuse let go at the comp.

For the size they are a powerhouse, we swapped it for a Memphis 4KW and our score has went down. The Memphis does "sound" better.

I haven't got a chance to play with it, but I'm willing to bet that it does every bit of 4K watts at 2 ohms. I will be using a Fluke RMS meter to set the gains and will report back on the amperage and voltage numbers I get. I shouldn't have much box rise, as it's sealed. My electrical is sufficient enough to support it so no bias with under powering it current wise.

I finally got it hooked up this morning, and without even touching the gain, it's moving my subs very well. The fans are a lot quieter than I expected too. It is sort of loud at start up, but after about 30 sec. it's pretty much inaudible. I don't know much about amp building, but the "details" I refer to are those imperfections with the assembly. I don't know if cosmetics or functionality trump one another but...

I'm not sure when I'll get to completely mess with it. I'll be busy the next 4 days or so in the evenings and then out of town.
