Ill try to look it up, I dont use any MP3s, so Id be the wrong person to ask..

lol (-) + (-) = ?
I just looked on Nak's site and it looks they they still have a dedicated automotive line for the US. Why buy import from AudioCubes when you can get it from 6spdcoupe!

I thought the 500 looks different than what I've remembered in the past. It's not the greatest in looks dept. but that 700II looks great with the brushed black aluminum panel. It'll be a contender w/the DRZ and F1 for best looking H/U in US mkt.

I'm surprised to hear both you and Desert moving on from the 7000 after only a few short weeks though. I guess there's a handful of 2006 that vying for the H/U of year spotlight now...
Not only that, but Denon is fully discontinuing their mobile line. They just dont want to pursue it anymore.

The 500 is a bit different, but offering a bit of features that can contend with some others on the market.

The 380 however will include quite a bit. Ill try to post a picinfo shortly.

Interesting tid bid on Denon, thanks Don. They are so dominating in the home A/V market I can see why they would want the resources there. Let's see if there will be any good deals in the next few months.

Interesting design on the new 380. Looks like an acrylic or glass faceplate, very modern. Don't know what to think of the vol knob though. Thanks for sharing.

Not a problem. Just passing along info. I personally use a Denon home A/V receiver, so the love is certainly not lost, just need to have something to offer my customers.

The 380 is quite good looking, but like you said, Im a bit up in the air about the knob, looks like its missing something..

No I havent, wanna enlighten me to as theyre 'subpar'?
Especially considering the fact that theyre now offering advanced exchange rather than repair on all warranty claims.
Nothing subpar about their SQ.

Advanced exchange? Thats great !

Do a search on elite...should keep you busy for hours.

Two ways I guess. Hit that button to the left of the big button/wheel and it will show you the title and let you scroll up and down by title to all the MP3 on the disc in order.

The other way is to hit the display button and that scrolls through a number of options (title, SA, GPS info (if you have that), background, no background, slideshow).

So I'll add my two sense. I went from a RFX-8250 (Denford) to the CD7000 and I'm still up in there air about it.

A few things already mentioned:

Font is too small, hard to read.

Takes some time to "read" MP3 discs at first, then its pretty quick.

Faceplate doesn't tilt.

Area shot doesn't seem to work right right now for me.

The button/knob takes some getting used to (the ridged edges are just play icky if you ask me). The other beef I have is that it should have a "gate" (like the shifter gate in a Ferrari). So you can do up or down, but not diagonally (which does weird stuff at the worst time).

More comments to come, but overall I like it but the CD5000 might have been a better fit for me.

Going to be running a 360.2 or PPI EQ/Xover so not sure how this thing fits in.

Juan

Not trying to hijack the 7000 thread, but I'm most likely going to give the Nak 500 a shot here soon. I don't think that enough can be said about the SQ of the Nak decks and to be honest the 700II looks yummy but sadly it's too far out of my reach.....lol
