First impressions were... ok. Was darn frustrating going through menu's at first "of course I never read the manual and chose to do it the hard way haha" Anyways the freakin knob is HUGE and annoying. Sticks out like 1/2" from the face. Internal amp has plenty of power as it is the only part of my system installed right now. Eq is really annoying to use and even though it says Q on the eq I cannot adjust the q or visually see I am making any adjustments to the actual q "not eq for you noobs, the actual q factor" Frequency / level is easy to adjust. I find the alpine 9835 eq and crossovers much nicer to adjust and they are more professional. The eclipse seems rather..... cartoonish.... Anyways will keep playing with it. It is visually a beautifull deck.

On my 8445 the PEQ is really easy to use and understand. The Q can be changed to a slow, normal, or sharp curve and you can see it visually on the display. You just push 6 (the Band button.) The only drawback is that you don't know the exact value, you just have those general curves... its easy to play with though.

I don't know how it could be much different on the CD7000.

The CD7000 is an entirely different unit.

I'm looking forward to one of your in-depth reviews after you've had some time with the unit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif...

interesting, it should at least have the same interface as my 8455. as for you "Q" questions, i can change the "Q" and actually see it change. I'm sure you'll found out once you read that fat manual eclipse provides. That would be a prety dumb move by eclipse if they make that you can't see the "Q" on the PEQ menu. For me, i have had no problems using my HU. love it. Dunno why eclipse would change something like that, but if you are perfectly unhappy with it i'll gladly take it off your hands //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.

Figured the q thing out. You have to hold either the up and down button for awhile and that adjusts the q. Just looking at the deck you cannot tell how the knob works. It has like a toggle in the center of the knob that moves allot. Also the enter button is in the middle of the toggle and sometimes when you push the tiny enter button it toggles things you do not want... Anyways pics to come soon and also a full review... I need to play with it for at least a week or two and live with it before I can write anything.

One thing I learned. steering wheel controls were cake on my scion with the eclipse! I had to ground the orange wire from the oem harness, hook the brown / black wire from the eclipse wire to the pink on the oem harness and then the brown wire from the eclipse to the oem green wire and poof! Steering wheel controls worked 100% first time SWEET!!!! Pics tonight guys!

Here are some teaser pics and also a short video hehehe.... Let me know what you guys think. Full review will be coming of course....

Do you realize that makes no sense at all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

I don't know why they would change it -> I like mine that way it is -> (this is where it stops making sense) Other person doesn't like it -> (Really stops making sense) I'll buy it from you.....

LOL, ****.....

Baaahahhahaha....I just peed my pants in a public place....thanks!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

And yes, that deck does look sort of "cartoonish" if you want my opinion too. If I were in the CD7000 nighborhood, I think a DRZ deserves a look.
