Got the eclipse cd7000 in today

after a few hour drive today and playing with it every red light, I am starting to like the deck allot. I hate how far and down low the screen moves when ejecting a cd. Also still hate the knob but once you get used to it, the menu's are sweet to navigate through. I can run through them very fast including eq, or crossover. However the font is very small and annoying to read compared to the huge text on the 9835. I cannot give a 100% overall reccomendation until I install the system soon in the car as I am not useing an amp with it. But for bling factor with the dancing spectrum analizer and color screen it is awsome. I find myself staring at the screen at stoplights or parkinglots. Deck has allot of WOW factor to it. Also like I said before, ebay has these for $520 shipped which is what I paid. Awsome deal and definitly worth $520!!!!!!!!! I would not pay $700 for it however, that would be retarded and at that price I would def reccomend the 9835, 9855 or 7998. But at $520 brand new she seems to be a steal.

It's funny you say that; one of the biggest dissapointments i had when switching from my CD8051 to the CD8454 was the loss of the real time spectrum analyzer. It was simplistic but cool nonetheless.

what are you going to..? I will be selling this in the next few months when the house projects are done. Was just to hold me over. Getting the w200 + h701 combo.

Prolly doing the Nak 700II.
That's surprising to hear Don. I think Manny alluded that Nak's quality had been subpar in the past few years. Have they improved recently?

Granted that you can get pretty much anything at cost, but even with Nak's commanding price (and a lack of processing and optical output), wouldn't one of the Denon's be a "better" choice? Just curious...

No need for processing, thats what the DXE is for. Not sure what Manny is referring to as Ive heard Nothing along those lines. I also have to think of something that can be offered to my customers. If I do the Denon and have a customer interested...I have nothing to offer them.

Hmmm...maybe I heard Manny wrong. I forgot that you also have the DXE and didn't even know that Nak was even a line you carry. It definitely makes sense that you would showcase a flagship product in your line card. Looking forward to seeing it.

lol...you've heard 'Nothing'?

lol (-) + (-) = ?

I just looked on Nak's site and it looks they they still have a dedicated automotive line for the US. Why buy import from AudioCubes when you can get it from 6spdcoupe!

I thought the 500 looks different than what I've remembered in the past. It's not the greatest in looks dept. but that 700II looks great with the brushed black aluminum panel. It'll be a contender w/the DRZ and F1 for best looking H/U in US mkt.

I'm surprised to hear both you and Desert moving on from the 7000 after only a few short weeks though. I guess there's a handful of 2006 that vying for the H/U of year spotlight now...

Only reason I am moving is I already had plans to go to a double din touch screen.... Not because of the deck itself. Now that I have had a chance to play with it for hours I really like it. Very cool deck for the price I paid.
