Well, I finished getting the sub and amp installed in my car this morning. I ran the power wire and grounded it...wired up the amp and sub just to get it going and see what it could do.

**WARNING**

It's a mess in these pics, I'll post final pics when everything is cleaned up and the wires are hidden. So these pics were just after I had gotten it all installed.

Pic of power wire, fuse is about 9" from the battery. The install was nice because my battery for the car is under the back seat.

Pic of amp running. I have the gain set at almost half, is that safe? Can I turn it up more than that? The sub can handle alot more gain if it's safe to set it that high.

Pic of the Alpine Installed...The battery was holding at between 14.9 and 15.0 volts while the music was turned up...I don't know if thats a good thing or if it even means anything?

With that said, anybody that buys 2 of these things for their vehicle is out of their minds.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

The SPL on this 1 single 12'' is much better than the 2 IMPP's I had before....All in all it's an awesome sub...I just need front speakers badly because I can't turn the volume up half way without the fronts distorting, I think the sub will handle any volume I give it.

p.s.- i am so envious......looks great man. I want an A
It's a new battery, the stock one took a crap on me about a month ago. So I only had 1 choice of battery for the car, simply because it's so big and it's got a vent on one side for it to breathe.

But I am almost positive that it will handle the system perfectly well. I have that batt. and 140 amp alternator. With the engine running I'm not getting any kind of dimming at all.

is that the 800.2? If so thanks for the side shot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. Anything on the other side? Can ya get like pics of it all around it for me? That'd be great //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. Nice by the way.

On the other side is just the terminals for you power wire, ground, and remote...then the speaker inputs.
But I wanna see //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. Is there anything on the bottom? And how much does it weigh?

Nothing on the bottom, just some slots. Weighs about 12~14lbs.

I'll have to look next time I have the back seat out, I can't think of the name of it off hand. But yeah, just sitting there idling in the driveway it stayed steady between 14-15 volts, with the stereo turned up.

You mean in the last pic with the HU? It was just a stock thing from the factory. There is a button you push and the plastic piece flips up to reveal about 10 buttons, it tells everything from oil pressure, to voltage, to gas mileage, how many miles I have until I run out of gas, how long it will take to go x amount of miles at the current speed, etc, etc, etc...

I might have a pic of it with the flap up showing all the buttons and options. Let me look.

It's nice, it's just the information control center of the car, it tells me anything thats going on with the car at any time...

I can't find a pic of it right now, but I will take one when I'm done installing the 6.5's I picked up today.

I picked up some Clarion SSR1684's. I got them locally for about $85, they retail at $150, I just got a good deal on them.

I listened to them for about 30 minutes, listened to about 10 different CD's...everything from classic rock, to metal, to rap, to jazz....sounded great on all the CD's I played.

I also listened to a pair of $500 Pioneers and wasn't impressed. And a pair of Planet Audio's....highs were waaaaaay to much for me.

I was looking for the best sounding 6.5's I could find to run off just the HU and these beat everything else I listened to by a long shot.

I'm sure you could pick them up for about what I paid for them on the net somewhere...
