Today at work my boss wanted my to hall some old pallets, so i loaded them up and took them to some land he owns he said if it looks to muddy dont go down their, well it did not look that bad so i drove down a hill and at the bottom is a mud pit, I made it though the mud pit, then i started sinking in the mud in his feild got stuck, dug it out and i was backing up to get out and i could not get up the hill so i cept trying and got stuck at the bottom of the hill (the hill goes to the mud) we had to find over 150 feet of chain well we only find 120 feet of chian so we used some heavy duty rope and the rope broke and took my dads head lights, grill, radiater, ***** cool, and turn signal out so my truck is siting in mud up to the bumper right now. i got some pics of it but it was dark out so they ****,so i will got more tomorrow

just copy and paste the links

Apparently tags on this board don't recognize FTP links. Copying and pasting works.

I repeat my previous comments, front and rear lockers and a Warn will drag you out of 99% of anything. The other 1%...well, you shouldn't have gone there in the first place...

tomorrow i have to dig it out with a shovel (it will take about 3 hours or more) It is at the bottom of a step hill so anything that i have pulling my has to be on the top of the hill. to get a tow truck to pull me out is $300

I have went down their before , but i could not get up the muddy hill so i was parked at the bottom in a foot of mud, so i could get some stuff to put under the tires and when i got back i truck was sunk in the mud cant go nowhere

Haha, I get my work truck stuck all the time. But its really heavy so it sinks up in mud real nice. As far as my personal vehicle I have a Jeep GC with Quadra Drive II 4x4 system in it, So i dont have to worry about mud with it.

You should have known useing that long of a chain and rope was a bad idea, those chains can kill someone when they give

I'm thinking about buying a mid '70s Toyota FJ40 LC for my next truck...those things look so sweet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wow i didnt think anyone else here off roads
a lot of people do man. i love to, but i hate to clean it up. i was under my truck with a pressure washer for a couple hours one day. the clean up sucks.

as far as getting stuck, i would reccomend all off-roaders that are somewhat serious about it to use air lockers, best investment ever on a 4WD. also if you are really serious, a winch is mighty important as well.
