the only part of the climate that is controled by the idrive is where you want to air to go to like feet or window or something. there is a button for front and rear defroster tho so you dont need to go through the idrive to defog your windows. the adjust the fan there are knobs to control the speed and heat. the only thing you really need to go into idrive for climate is the more advance settings like the distribution of heat on the seats like do you want your butt warmed more or your back and like the alarm clock heater/ac turn on. stereo wise there is an up and down and volume control and there is a button on the steering wheel allowing you to go through the player like fm/am/cd/cdchanger. its a diamond sign button on both the steering wheel and next to the knob which is programable to do whatever. the only thing you really go into idrive for is gps/bluetooth/teleaid and settings like turning off and on dsc and dtc also how long you want the exterior lights to stay on after you lock the car and unlock and random crap like that. oh and hazard lights? theres a huge hazard light button in the middle of the dash lol...Its more the interface that i dont like, i'd rather have a joystick or something than the iDrive knob. It just feels awkward to me. And to adjust the fan for the climate control in the BMW's with iDrive you have to go through the interface. Generally thats stuff that i want to have hands on control with when i'm driving, with iDrive you have to navigate through a few menu's to accomplish one simple task.
I want control of my stereo, climate control options, and hazard lights through manual buttons. As far as engine/******/bluetooth/gps/etc. settings, iDrive works great. But the rest, just leave it to me. I dont need to go through an electronic bureaucracy
you're missing my point, i'm saying thats how i want it. regardless of the vehicle. at any rate, things like a seat heater i fumble with constantly when its on, high to low, low to medium, etc. i dont want to be going through a menu for that.the only part of the climate that is controled by the idrive is where you want to air to go to like feet or window or something. there is a button for front and rear defroster tho so you dont need to go through the idrive to defog your windows. the adjust the fan there are knobs to control the speed and heat. the only thing you really need to go into idrive for climate is the more advance settings like the distribution of heat on the seats like do you want your butt warmed more or your back and like the alarm clock heater/ac turn on. stereo wise there is an up and down and volume control and there is a button on the steering wheel allowing you to go through the player like fm/am/cd/cdchanger. its a diamond sign button on both the steering wheel and next to the knob which is programable to do whatever. the only thing you really go into idrive for is gps/bluetooth/teleaid and settings like turning off and on dsc and dtc also how long you want the exterior lights to stay on after you lock the car and unlock and random crap like that. oh and hazard lights? theres a huge hazard light button in the middle of the dash lol...
there is no menu for that. im just trying to say not everything is controlled by idrive. there are knobs and buttons for the basic things that you wouldnt want in idrive. the more complicated features that cant really by expressed by buttons are all in idrive. sorry ill stop arguing about it i didnt mean to get all defensive about it lol to each his own. i just think the idrive ideology will be more common in the future. and the whole joystick idea is kinda stupid. ive driven an armada and it has that little joystick to control the whole navi thing and i thought it was annoying to use cause you were doing the same motions as with idrive just with a small little joystick instead of a nice big knob.you're missing my point, i'm saying thats how i want it. regardless of the vehicle. at any rate, things like a seat heater i fumble with constantly when its on, high to low, low to medium, etc. i dont want to be going through a menu for that.
Shut up........Well it would appear that your attitude matches your car...so I guess it all works out in your case; what you see is what you get (right?)
The "stuff" I have is free and clear, as I dont like driving a vehicle that doesn't belong to me (though as I recall you started this topic to talk about you, so lets not get off subject here)
..by the way that car of yours isn't all that quick, it's a nicer car but lets not get carried away now.
Now as far as your remark about being older then me (which I could care less about) I was not referring to age (or at least physically); well in general when you use the word Homie it doest really exude maturity, though your remedial attempt of a play on my words wasn't lost on me.... how ever it didn't exactly impress me.
Perhaps if you can not stand criticism, in the future, you might not want to ask for opinions on the internet... It seems like you are very unsure of yourself (insecure), maybe instead of spending time and money on wheels you should resolve those issues; maybe then you will not need to seek the approval of people who don't even know who you are (or care about you one way or another).
My car rides perfectly fine with the 22's. Actually a little better than the runflats that were on it. Those runflats are really harsh. Acceleration hasn't been limited as far as I can tell. If I turn off the DSC and stomp it I can make 2 nice long black lines down the road. Not that smoking tires is the point but it definately hasn't been limited due to tire size. I will be getting another set of rims but they too will be 22"s.Shut up........
The rims do not belong on that car. I had 22's on my car, and it rode like sh!t. I could feel the road, and the acceleration was god-awful. I hope you get more time to check out other rims on that car, and go another route. You have a BMW, make it look like the beauty that is naturally is.
Because I had 1 day to get rims put on it for Nopi Nationals. These were the only ones in town so I got em. Besides I don't mind the one piece rims and I get nothing but compliments on these. They look way better in person.man why put cheap cast off the shelf bs on that car, its beggin for something tailored to fit it, like some 3 pieces or something staggered made to fit that car atleast
You're right, I do got the money for another set, but I only had 1 day to get these. I didn't want to go to Nopi without them on so I just purchased the only set I could get in that day.I have seen the rims before a forum member on issf has them and don't get me wrong they look nice, but I think the 6 series calls for something even nicer ya know, if you got bmw money why not.
I can appreciate another persons point of view. That's why I posted the pics. Maybe more people will like the next set I put on it but these will stay for a while.man you picked the wrong set of rims for that car i wouldn't even pay 500 for those rims on any car. IMHO the stock rims were better.
great car, but definitely should have gone upscale with the wheels. a car like that deserves a real wheel. HRE, Fikse, and others make a wheel that exudes quality to go with the car, along with a true sick aggressive fit that really makes all the difference.man why put cheap cast off the shelf bs on that car, its beggin for something tailored to fit it, like some 3 pieces or something staggered made to fit that car atleast
Don't take me wrong but the post above me has a point... You usually see people driving old Solara's and what not that actually cost more then the car itself... But yeah I can't wait to see what you have in store for the next. I don't think chrome fits that car that much due to the color.. You'd have to blend it in with some black.. maybe black with a chrome lip?I can appreciate another persons point of view. That's why I posted the pics. Maybe more people will like the next set I put on it but these will stay for a while.
