Well I just pulled the trigger on a TC-3000 12", so we'll see how that sounds when I hopefully get it next week. I'll post pics when I get it and let you guys know how it sounds. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif :naughty: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif :)

You didnt even try to put it in a smaller box? No offense...but if you didnt, that was VERY stupid. You could have solved your problems with 20 bucks...

meh...it's my money to waste not yours //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Its the box, the Ava 12 I heard was VERY tight and controlled. Putting a low end monster in too big of a box will yield sloppy bass, its a fact of life. Thats why many people think the W7 sounds too loose, because they put it in the wrong box.

I think you made a mistake ordering the TC3000 so quickly.

the box has a ton to do with how a sub sounds

the TC3k is a good sub, just that we were trying to help you with what you have, and then you just buy a whole new sub, and it might be even worse than what you have now, then u have 2 subs you wont like //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Yeah I see what you're saying, but it's a risk I'm willing to take. I pretty much buy all my stuff without listening to it first and I'm satisfied most of the time.

I had Phoenix Gold T1200.1 benched at 1567wrms hooked up to my avalanche with the gain low and it was too ****ing loud. Only got a Phoenix Gold X600.1 to it now. It still gets loud as hell. I think I may have drained the battery trying something out though.
I was studying in my car a little before class for 10-15 minutes with the radio on but with the car not running. I turned off the sub from the headunit, but the amp was still on. I really wasn't sure if the amp would still be draining power.

Based on the drop in loudness I've experienced for the past few days, I'm guessing that even if you turn the sub off on the HU with the car not running, the amp will still drain the battery--because the amp is still on?
you benched the amp you sent me at 1567....dayum:eek: no wander it punishes the w7 lol
