Before all of you criticize me for it not being Snap-On or MAC, this is all I could afford.

Over the past few years working on cars, I've put up with using $10 Walmart crap for tools. Today Sears was having a sale, so I picked up this pretty sweet 168 piece socket set, just to get me started

I'm excited. Best part is no more fukking Walmart tools, these are great quality, and gaurateed for life. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

Next plan is to get a nice set of wrenches.

Quality tools to work on cars!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

Every now and then you have to spoil yourself. I go to Sears/Home Depot atleast 4-6 times a week for random ****, and before I know it I'm drooling at tool sets, table saws, routers, etc for the longest time.

None of them will get lost, because nobody else is using them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

how old are you?
i got my first rachet set when i was like 12
I'm 18. This isn't my first tool set by any means, it's just my first NICE/QUALITY tool set. Over the past few years I've gotten random stuff I need for the car, but never actually spent the cash to buy really nice, quality stuff.

BIG difference. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i just bought a dewalt 18 volt tool pack at home depot for 600$. came with a circular saw, the cordless drill, sawzall, impact wrench, flash light, and the little cordless vaccuum (actually works pretty good). i'm surprised that a cordless circular saw works as well as it does. the sawzall and drill from dewalt have always been pretty good. also came with 3 battery packs which is a definate ++++++

I know which one you're talking about, I was checking it out the other day when I was up there. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Any one have experience with "Husky" tools from Home Depot? They too are gauranteed for life, and a tad cheaper than Craftsman....

i bought the tool set in the black plastic case with the red handle. socket set, wrenches, hammer etc. came in it. it's okay. for 100$ approx. it isn't too bad. i really like the husky wire strippers and ratchet straps (they don't come in that kit though). i have free reign with my company's home depot card, so i've been a tool buying maniac. i'll be paying back 50 bucks a check for eternity.

i have the same exact set

i added a small ratcheting screw driver (with multiple bits in the handle), a small DMM, a small mag-lite, slip pilers, needle nose pilers and reg pilers and some Craftsman Pro Mech gloves... now i can work on most things and its all in one case //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

one thing tho, every time i open it, sh!ts everywhere... sockets all other the place etc //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/pissed.gif.9f665f96bc89e98e708dabd4580bb591.gif

youre gonna love it

I work at lowes right beside Tool World

Imagine my pain

I have alot of husky hand tools. Wrenchs, sockets and what not. Best part about Husky tools...the guarantee there tools and any other manufacturers tools with lifetime warranties. You break a craftsman bring it there and they will give you one of their's.

Awesome concept //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. I like my wrenchs with the rachet box end soooo stupid handy. Especially the stubby ones. So handy to have.

Also have a couple things from Snap-On aswell. My racheting screw driver and my 1/4" thumb rachet. So handy.

stupid me got the 500+ piece set with no case.

Its a bloody nightmare to find anything ive got so many wrenches.

I just use my crappy $30 took kit since i can always find everything :p
