Got my first Brazilian...

Ive been looking at those amps and the PRV also.Let us know how it performs. Thats smaller than what I thought it would be in reality. Most specs are misleading on size and weight as well

Finally got it hooked up and wow...I will never own a other non Brazilian monoblock again. Clean and super efficient. The PG 2k amp I was running before was dropping my voltage to the high 12s low 13s on heavy bass notes. I haven't gone full tilt yet but it's hovering right around the mid 14s on heavy bass notes.

My only complaint is the tiny wire terminals. My 4awg reducers were too small so I had to change the 1/0 coming from my distro to 4awg.

Very please with the purchase so far.

Dont you mean too big? You can always grind the reducer down. They do get a lot happier with bigger input wire size. But yeah if only wiring to 1 ohm, Brazilians are the bee's knees. You can trust the clipping indicator on the amp, it matches well with oscope tests.

I would deff run 1/0 to the 3k then. They are normally ran with very short power and ground runs to their battery banks so they get away with not needing huge inputs.
It's a pretty short run of 4 AWG from the fused distro to the amp. Right around a foot. You think that would still need it?

measure the voltage at the amp with a multimeter while it's playing loud as you play it.

As long as your average voltage is staying above 12v, you should be good.

Do NOT let the amplifier stay into clipping. Only dim clips at the most.
