School me on U.S. Amps. I know the old school stuff was highly regarded, but I'm still getting into the higher end old school stuff.

I started with a PPI Art series A204 and that was amazing. Someone stole it out of my car... It was disappointing. However, I picked up this amp for $200 bucks with replaced caps and it has a custom powdercoated top, even though I wish it had the original finish. It looks super clean. I was told it can put out some really good power.

I ended up picking up an Xtant x604 as well. That is a monster, the circuit board looks really clean. If you want to see pics of that I can post it up.

Someone did write on the board with sharpie for the guy wishing him well. I'll probably remove that.

didnt BigDWiz just do a dyno on one of these? or was it a slightly different model?

there is an x604 at a local pawn shop that i am dying to pick up. Hes had it on the shelf for like 5 years and im sure would probably give it to me for a loss

As I recall the last one he did was a bigger US amps model. I wish I could find more info on mine!

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...

Hello all. Used to come on these forum quite a bit. I used to compete in IASCA MECA etc. and placed 1st 2x with this setup. Anyway this is my baby...

You don't need two amps. The speakers come with crossovers to help protect the tweeters.

Perhaps you changed something without mentioning it here? Maybe a loose turn on line? I dunno man...but we'll take it. Hopefully it keeps working. 👍
