y they stealin my bucket?
B&W DM601 S3's 6.5" mid, dome tweet. got the ones in the black ash wood. demoed the klipsch, paradigms, and 2 sets of B&W's (in my price range) at my nearest shop yesterday, and i was REALLY impressed with the detail, midbass, midrange, as well as the highs. AMAZING little bookshelfs. running them off of an older Yamaha RX-V1070, aided with a 12" assassin for gained authority under 60 hz.
picked em up for $450 at my local shop
also, picked up a set of Grado open air SR125's headphones for $150. going in, i was kind of specticle, like how good can headphones sound? since im used to crappy phones, i didnt really expect much. gave him my budget (200), and he hands he this set. plug it into a Grado headphone amp, and i was BLOWN away. they sounded like high end speakers, in my ear. long story short, came back the next day (today) and bought em. been listening to pink floyd all day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
anyways, the shop i got it from is "speaker shop" and they are VERY reasonable, and i recomend it to anyone in the buffalo area
onto the pics,
pics are somewhat grainy, but deal with it
ill take some of the back of the cabinets, and some pics of with the covers on in a couple minutes. anyways, post up your B&W's (or any speakers you like) and enjoy
BTW these Grados deliver SICK bass, very comfortable, and a non fatiguing souond- i recomend them to anyone, even if its out of your budget
im going to make a pocket headphone amp once i learn a little bit more about them too, btw
