If he was working out of that Cave you call a "garage." Priorities buddy. You've got "all this money" but you can't even get power into your garage and you run extension cords to it.
You're a walking punch line.....because you can drive the car, but you can't drive the house.

I HAVE YET to get 220VAC run to the garage. I will. It has 120V in it just exclusively for the electric garage door openers. I need more extensive 120V access and a brand new 240V power source too!

I run extension cords to it because right now that's the best I can do!

I'm broke as hell and live in a trailer park(mainley cuz I own the house and kit rents only 239$ a month and let's me be able to give my wife the option to be a stay at home mom) and have no shame balling on a budget and am honest. Ask for advice and take it. No need to lie and be a d!ck. I promise your not the only one in this country just making ends meet.

Hahaha. I'm glad! I literally laughed aloud. Not because of the Leaf....but because I remembered his Tesla comment when he was bragging about how rich he was. Couldn't help but picture the roll up shed door revealing a Tesla. I lost my $hit.

I think were too far ahead of time to own an electric car tbh. Hardly any here. It's still mainly gasoline.

Not only that, they're expensive.....expensive to service/repair I bet. I for one wouldn't want any more car payments then I've already had. Think to date, like 4-5. I'll gladly pay cash for my vehicle. And that's exactly what I did when I bought my s10...1800 bucks.

I agree. I see tons of Tesla's where I live. At least two or 3 a day, but the people really are filthy rich. One gentleman I did a job for had two in his garage along with a Carrera Turbo and his wife's loaded Escalade. He had just sold his technology company for something like 21million and was working on starting another. Wanted a Commercial Ballfield irrigation controller for his home sprinkler system so he could monitor it anywhere from the Internet.

It's not uncommon for the people here to drop $30-50k on a backyard living area. Definitely not a bad thing.

I guess my point is they are buying them for the idea, and the TOY factor. I highly doubt it's to conserve or save on gas. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't know if any charging stations here except for a couple at the simon mall complexes. I know bigger cities have them more frequent, but that doesn't mean the rest of America is set up for them. Still a little far out for it to be a norm. It's more of a wow factor or talking point here

21 million....wish that number was in my bank account. I wouldn't be here very long lol. Move to FL...warmth FTW!! I shoulda invested in Amazon 15 years ago. My house would be paid off today and still have $$ left over.

Not very many charging stations here either. Seattle maybe here or there but prob expensive. They're so focused on that damm transit station instead. Outragous amount I'll never ride since it's based in Auburn area....which is 60 miles S of me.

ROFL!! Yeah I caught the salesman on a "gas" comment while I was test driving it! And we laughed about how many old technology terms we still use like the hand cranking motion to sign "roll down your window" we still use although most cars' windows are operated electronically now with a switch!

Yes the Leaf has a "gas pedal" but no gas! All electric!! VERY smooth!! And SWEET!!

Can't wait to get a really cool audio system installed! It's gonna be SO FANCY!!

No kidding. I think he pulled 10mil personally from the sale, but still....I don't think it matters once you're talking about that kind of money. Plus he was young as hell and still has the capability to work.

I'd probably still stay here with that kind of cash. I'd buy a modest house, couple ****** cars like a Audi S series for the wife or CTS-V blacked out. Get a new 2017 3500 HD Dually then put 50k into a new jeep modded similar to alredge's. Pick up a track Bobcat and keep working like I do. Some toys for the kids. Things to make my business easier on me like multiple dump trailers.

Edit to add: the new corvette stingrays are looking pretty sweet too...
