got my coilovers in the mail today. pretty excited and anxious. i'll be installing them on saturday at a hobby shop where i can put the car on a lift and work with ease. should be fun and challenging. the rear is pretty low on it's own with sub setup and all the weight in the trunk. it only needs to be dropped a good .5-1" but the front needs 2"s off BAD.. also with the sleeves i bout my rear camber kit and front camber kit to help adjust and correct the camber. even though it shouldn't be much of an issue as my tires work great with negative camber.

anyways on tot he pics!

now i would have gone with super expensive tien basics for my car but well, i'm not looking for crazy *** performance. all i really want was a drop that will look good and keep a decent soft ride, unlike full coilovers which most rides become stiff. later on i will then upgrade shocks and struts but for now it will do.

you will need to upgrade the shcks and struts sooner than you think. those kits doa number on stock shocks and struts but they do look sick.
hm... that's fine. just gotta do a bit more research on which shocks i may use. i hear a lot of people say that the tokico blue will and won't fit. so i'll find out sooner or later.

well yesterday i got up at 8am and took my car over to the hobby shop so i could get the coil overs in.

i have to say the process was quite easy. only hard part was modifying the stock strut but was more time consuming.

PICTARS!

ive never really understood the whole coil over thing as im not really that into car performance and the like.

but what exactly aside from lowering/raising do they do?

price roughly?

installing?

now this is only the front coil overs being placed. i did not get to the rears as time ran short and i was starving for food. so i'm leaving the rears for this sayturday. though, i'm considering not even doing to rears as the rear is lowered from all the weight in the trunk.

so far i'm happy with the chage in look. it looks great in person and these pics just don't do justice.

still need to get an alignment asap but will have to wait till i get the rears done, or if i even bother to do the rears. i won't be driving much so i'm going to try to keep it from ****ing up my tires.

the ride is a little more bouncey but it's not a problem with me at the moment. i'll be looking for struts to stiffen the ride up a little bit but that will be in a month or so.

Looks good. Are those 17's or 18's?

x2 on the tokico's, a lot of people say they're trash. I'll be getting Koni Yellows, every one on the Civic forums swear by them.

You could of also went with some lowering springs, too. Are those Skunk2's adjustable?
