I can't say that I've never been searched, but it's not an everyday thing either. OP lives on the South Side of Chicago. It is a high crime area similar to my area. THe cops know who's doing what pretty much by my house. Not to judge your character, because you do seem like an ok guy. Do you tend to hang out in those areas where cops are constantly clearing corners? I've said many times I know your area pretty well. Chick I know stays a block over from the fire dept. I've never been stopped or harrassed by the cops in the many times I've been through there. You must have a rep unfortunately. I don't let anyone that I don't trust ride with me because shit like this can happen. And I surely don't do this either But that's neither here nor there.
To answer your question, I would not be trying to get money back when you were clearly in the wrong. I just don't see any way that you can expct to get money back from this. Just pay the fines and febreeze your car. You can't win this one. If the weed was not involved, you could fight that one.

Like I said help or GTFO I dont need trolls...im about to go get my car back but please can someone that has fought a sound violation please chime in and give me some info on what I can do about this...My weed charge to you guys is what I should be worried about the most but its what Im worried about the least...I have little doubt in my mind that this wont get dismissed...I just want help with my sounds!!

My court date is aug 7....I just got back and I dont even have enough to get it out...costing 1700 to get it out which is more than what the car is even worth...Now my only option is to take this to court....I filled out the paperwork to get a court date for the impound and they said I should get a date in 2 weeks...The actual court date might be a month from then....This truely ****ing sucks.....The ticket doesnt have a cost on there but I believe the impound cost for sounds was 1300 which is why its so **** high to get out....Thats the same ****ing price for a **** DUI!!!!

I honestly need all the legal help I can get now cuz that is the only way Im going to get my car back...
