Got into accident, will my insurance write me a check? insurance fraud?

you have no deductible? how is that? which company do you have? there aren't many companies that offer no deductible coverage for auto, and most companies that offer no deductibles have those types of policies set with age restrictions...

if its the other persons fault you dont pay a deductable...usually

insurance companies **** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

that is correct in most instances, the person at fault will absorb the deductible...IDK, im also a little bias i guess being on the other side...

oh i see what you were saying...i thought you meant your policy...for some reason i thought you were going through your insurance...understood...yea thats right in most cases...

got any pics of the damage?

he's not at fault. the other persons insurance has to pay for it. now, depending on what insurance company he has they will send the check as they desire. they can have an adjuster come in and create a quote and give you a check with your name along with a repair facility's name on it which would not allow you to cash the check for yourself but would make it mandatory to take it to a specific repair shop.

it all varies with what company gives you the check.

well i just talked to my insurance agent and he said every company is differant but I'll probably get a check if I want one!

now who can tell me how much a fender replacement on a black 98 grand prix costs?

in most cases dealing with the other persons insurance company, the company will typically issue the check blindly to the claimant, regardless of lien holder standing...they really dont care...a lot of times they will try and get you into their CRP shops so they can control overages and supplemental payments, but they cant force you to take it to their shop...pretty straight forward, just hold your hand out and wait for the check...

Don't forget to ask for depreciation compensation. Even when your car is repaired the value of the car drops.
it will be extremely hard to get dc on a 1998, unless the damage exceeds the ACV of the vehicle or reaches the state requirements for a total loss/salvage vehicle...
