Got Crystal SSCS6's What amp?

Hey, my SSCS6's are on the way. I have a KK 4awg Amp kit. I need a 2 channel or 4 channel bridgable @ 4ohms to power these BEASTS. What is recommend for 150-180wrms a side? They will be crossed at 60-70hz too block out the "destroying" low freqs. I want to spend under $200 for an amp. Suggestions please?

And yes, I have the SSCS6's...I'm not thinking about getting them.

If your gonna cross them that low, dont do more than 150 a side. I would suggest crossing them higher than that but thats just my opinion. I have mine crossed at 90hz with a 18db slope and running 300 to each side.

should work just fine. i'd cross at 80 to be safe too.

I thought there was only D3, D6 and D9.

The reason I wanted to stay away from DA is because Shon has said the company is having big problems right now, and that being said, customer service, if needed, might be a pain. I do realize they are great.

Also, haven't decided what I'm going to cross them at, 80-90hz might be in the cards.

D5 is discontinued. are they having problems? i thought the company just finished moving or something. i havent had any problems with my d6 or d3 amps or subs. try looking into the 25 to life series from rockford.

dont worry about customer service/diamond audio because if your range is 200$ I doubt you'll find the amp for that price authorized....

and d5 is a past line they had...as well as the d7 series.

Well I have bought the Crystals, and just bought the 4awg Amp Wiring Kit.

All I need is this amp.

BTW the 25 to life put out like 230 @ 4ohms a channel and they are rated at 22.5 @ 4ohms a channel. Its crazy.

The X-over frequency plays a big part in your amp decision. If your crossing it low, I wouldnt top 150, if your crossing it around 80-100, you can prolly go upwards of 250 a side.

I dont need 250 a side. Probably will be crossed around 70-80hz.

150-180 a side is enough.

The only thing is, I cant buy at most eBay stores, because I don't have I confirmed address on my PayPal because I just moved.

Is this a good amp? My local audio stores say that kenwood amps are pretty good.

id say get a sundown 100.2 great amps, solid and reliable are two words commonly used. they are underrated a tad and produce around 125 x 2 @ 4 ohms i hear. but they are 299. im sure you could contact low-hz.com or audiojunkies.com and ask them for a deal on it cause sundown says they can sell it for less than 299 cause that is msrp and map.
