Got a ticket (sound), try and help me

Haha, call ur lawyer on a ticket that has no effect on anything. What a ***, I'd pay the ticket Monday and be done with it.

Prolly 100 bucks and 5min out the day.

Also, this is why ill never have rims or anything flashy on my Explorer. Unwanted attention from cops or thieves.
The ***** is coming out in alot of you

Try 559

The money isnt the problem, its the principle..

If you don't have a system, couldn't you use that if you do go to court? Not too sure if you can do that, but at least it's something. You could also bring the friend you were talking to on the phone with your stereo on.

If they see that you don't have any stereo system, not too sure how they'd prove it was too loud. Unless sound just travels really easy out of your vehicle.

ALSO, if $559 isn't anything to ya...you must be an officer or something. My wife and I are both E-5's without any children and that is still a good amount of money to lose over a **** stereo.

You have rims with a system and I guess tint. That equals driving while black even if your are or not. It happened to me once or twice just to see if it's my car or just to be an ***. I like rims but that sh*t gets you in trouble with the local enforcement, probally the main reason I sold mine. Crying won't get you no where, just pay it and move on. Also fighting it want get you no where trust me, I tried that...

IT WAS NOT UP THEY COULD NOT HEAR IT.
So it was just a random coincidence that the ticket was for noise? A volume level is pretty arbitrary, unless you weren't using an external amp. Even so, I'm very sure you could hear it from 30 feet away - not loudly, but audible. And that's all that's required, as "reasonable" is one of the most useless words in legalese.

As much as I don't personally like huge wheels, you shouldn't be hassled because of them as long as they're legal. But if you're going to run them, I think not being aware that you're an easier target is a mistake, too...

hey man most of the attorneys/ legal assistants on base cant help to much in civilian court cases. Now i have heard from a few people that if you go and plead not guilty and the officer that gave you the ticket doesnt show up the ticket can be taken off your record or a lesser charge. BTW how much is the ticket? i dont play mine to loud often but they always think its the charger or caddy on 26's next to me LOL gotta love killeen

maybe you actually did something other than having your system playing? maybe your tint violated the state laws or SOMETHING and he decided to write you a cheaper ticket for something else, such as your music playing

or maybe you were actually speeding, and he wrote you a ticket for your system

it can go either way, **** it up and pay it..

Scan the reciept for 559 and where it says noise ordinance and no other violations
There's no way its that much
very much possability it is depending on what branch the officer was, i know that on the base here in south carolina if you get pulled over for using a bluetooth headset for the phone its a 300 dollar fine, which is rediculous.

Im not here to argue.. I wasnt speeding, I dont have tint, I wasnt listening to my shit loud. You could not hear even the highs standing at 10 ft from my window.. I am not trying to get legal advice on ca.com and I do not use a military lawyer.

Im not one of these guys that ***** about a noise violation and then say "well it was up" thats what most of these posts are, people *****ing when they did something wrong in the beginning.

I was simply profiled, and got a ticket for something that the law says I cannot defend myself on.

Like I have said time and time again, its the principle..

And about the ticket cost, check out killeens website, went from avg 30 tickets a month to 170.. They figured out that all we can do is just pay the shit.. Every sense we went to war the city has been hurting for money because we are always gone.. They have to get it from somewhere?

they do the same thing here. i live right outside a military base also. they've gotten real strict on it. can't even go to the lake and have your music going while you are having a party unless you have the proper paperwork for it.

green and tan I am guessing army. do you have any rank? How old are you? Those things will go into play whether you like or not in trial.. under 25yr old they won't even listen to what you say. If you are in the army or w.e go to trial in Uniform.. explain yourself.. do NOT verbally attack the officer or judge.. will not do you any good! Explain your side. The judge will tell you what you are being charged with etc etc if how do you plead then it will go to you.. state your story.. If you didn't have it up the truth is the only thing you can say.. the judge will decide.. Now then in these types of cases the motto "the truth will set you free" is bullshit so be prepared.. sometimes the judge will have their mind made up. If you control yourself you have the best chance. Don't have outbursts be a smart ***.. Yes Sir/ your honor to every thing the judge says..
