its not that hard to turn down the volume at traffic lights or in the middle of traffic when you are going slow.

Take it you've never gotten a citation before? At least here in Indy, if you fight and LOSE, you can get upwards of 1k extra added onto the ticket. No shit, so you better have a better excuse than saying the cop and judge are stupid because loud is subjective and he didn't have a meter. The fact of the matter is, if someone else can hear your stereo for long enough for it to upset them, it's too loud to be playing it around other people.

if you "think" that you are responsible then pay the ticket. learn your lesson. roll your windows up.

i just recently got a ticket for noise violation. no sense in me fighting it when i know i was caught. i learned my lesson. roll my windows up when leaving a drive-thru before i turn my system back up.

if you fight and lose in PA you have to pay court fees but they are normally like less then 70

they don't tell you how much it is...I guess the judge decides it. Now I'm a bit discouraged to fight it now after reading all you guys post. I might as well just say I'm guilty when they send me my new court date and pay the fine. I hope it's not hefty.

I came here to get some advise from other's peoples similar experiences, but I guess I'm the only one that has ever gotten a ticket for loud noise on this forum. Go figure...
