got a ticket for unreasonable noise-vehicle...

In NYC. I pled not guilty and sent it in. Waiting for a court date, AT CRIMINAL COURT!! He looked at my stereo and said that my music was too loud. I really didn't say much. Then he went to his car and came back with a summons. When I go to court and try to fight it I am going to say that he had no way of measuring the db's because he had no meter. I will say that LOUD is subjective and that without a meter how would he know how loud my radio was...

Any other suggetions?

This is my first ticket for noise because I always look around...this time they came out of nowhere...I was surprised.

Don't play your stereo so loud in places where you can get ticketed. If you want it loud in town deaden it and keep your windows up.

he dosent need a meter.. around here if they can here it within 60ft or so, ur getting a ticket.. to bad, fighting it is a lost cause.

i had a cop give me a ticket because he hurd me 5 min before he saw me..

they dont need a meter... the judge will laugh at u if u said that. the law varies place to place but in most cases if a cop can hear ur car 25ft or more away its too loud and u can get a ticket.

you may be better off to try saying it wasnt even hooked up.

or you didnt have anything in there.

there is no proof of what the cop saw at the time.

factory stereos can get you in trouble these days. most places if the cop can hear it 10ft from the vehicle they can get you for it.

i would give you a ticket too for bumping loud in the city

and if it was after 10pm then you deserve it.
