Got a question for you guys

Just rack the slide & toss them a folding knife //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif There you go, you were defending yourself.
Seriously though, just racking the slide & saying dont move will make 99% of people automatically shit themselves.

Intimidation is a huge factor with shotguns, the sound it make will speak clearly in any language. They know what comes next.
man I miss my shotgun, I used to have a mossberg pump with a pistol grip, I sold it to a friend of mine a couple months ago, I know what you mean about the rack sound, it is one scary *** sound and indeed will intimidate. hmm maybe I'll have to put one on the old xmas list.

I keep my .22 phoenix arms pistol inside a drawer beside my bed in case something was to ever happen, the way I see it is that way it will stop an intruder and get the point across without making too much of mess.

In SC, you have the right to remove anyone from your house by any means nessecary if they were not welcome when they first entered. Ie, if someone breaks into your house, you can kill them if they do not leave. There is also the touchy subject as to whether or not you can use force AS they are entering.

A .22? That'll just piss someone off. .45 ftw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

start at miscellanous offenses and keep reading...the laws might rebut your comment.

I asked my dad if it was illegal to kill someone if they break into your house......He didn't answer but he said:

"they come in here, they're gettin shot" and went back to watchin t.v. (man of few words i guess, lol)

You would think a locked door/window is a way of saying "don't come in" wouldn't you???

One of my co workers asked me earlier if you have the right to use deadly force if someone breaks into youre house. I wasnt too sure. And I am too lazy to search right now.I thought you have the right to defend yourself. Especially in your own home. But I am not sure. Can you guys help me out? He would like to know. As well as me
it depends on the state. In oklahoma we have a "make my day" law, which states if you feel your life is threatened, you have the right to use lethal force to protect yourself and your property.

The new Florida castle doctrine revoked the "duty to retreat" clause and the ability of the killed criminals family to sue to shooter. If someone invades your castle, whether it be car or house, you are authorized to meet force with force including deadly force. I'm surprise no one has responded to the 3 other posts already stating this information...

we talked about this is my econ class last year. the answer was no. It could so easily be setup. Lets say for instance, you really really dont like someone. You say "hey man, want a tv?" just come on in and get it. They come in, you shoot them. your excuse? he was robbing me. at least that was how our teacher explained it.

I saw it, and was so happy when it finally happened...now let me keep my gun concealed in my car on campus, then I will be happy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

well its legal in oklahoma

i always thought if some one robs you with nothing in hand , ie screwdriver , knife ,stick etc.., than you can shoot to maim? like shot to the shoulder or leg or something. but if they were to have something in hand that could cause some harm to you , your fam and your house than you can use deadly force. im sure there is ways you could get fuked. like shooting in the back when running, but in the leg would almost be like a civil arrest. you would call the fuzz after whatever gone down settled and itll be worked out fomr there. plus itll looked at alot more like what it is than something else and probably wont get prosecuted.

thats how i always understood. hmm.
