Got a custom box quote from two local audio shops today

I called up the two closest Car Audio shops in my area (Car Tunes & 727 Customs)

and asked for a quote on a custom ported 4 cubic foot box tuned to 35Hz first shop said $180 and the second said about $150.

I would like to get a good custom 4 cube 35Hz ported box for the two 12" 2006 Alpine SWR-1242D's which when I get the money for the amp will be powered by a single Lanzar OPTI2000D wired to 1 ohm for 1692w RMS (850w per Type R).

Only big problem here is that I would like to pay less for the box so I can better afford the Lanzar OPTI2000D and not be broke the rest of June.

Anyone in the South Eastern United States building some quality boxes on the cheap?

shipping is going to be a pain in tha a** for any one... so your best bet would be some one local in your area...

thats actually cheaper than what local car audio shops charge around here try to find someone that is local because shipping is going to be expensive
