Go for the interview. It never hurt anything. You ahve the time - just do it. Talk to them, tell them that you would like to do some research before making your decision.

Go home and think it over.

the place i work at now, is a fortune 500 company(#48),pay for my lunch and gas both ways, VERY flexable on hours and is 20 min from my house
new place....dont know

sounds like I'd keep my nose clean and my head down and keep that job.

well i work in the nat gas field..and the way it is lately, everybody is selling out to everybody..how do you know devon aint gonna be bought by xto or anadarko, etc.

i dont think we will be bought out anytime soon

we about to build two new plants and have them running my 2010

so plenty of work

XTO is kinda close but the place seemed kinda.......like to worky,not enough communication between employees about anything

well i know devon is huge, just thinking out loud....seems like xto, anadarko, chesapeak, and marathon are buying east texas up, one company at a time

I went out and ther "new" place was nice

was further than i wanted to go but figured it was worth a try

the boss was wearing a hawaiian shirt ,cargo shorts, and flip flops

cool I guess,not really what I would wear being a boos but ok

He really liked me and liked the work I brought

It really came down to money

the guy said he couldnt even come close to my salary am at now

he offered me about 20K less a year

I had to decline

He said if a higher up position became avialbe he would call me

he and his helper were cool as hell

but i gotta stay where im at
