Those cheap bandpass setups sound awful due to a poor enclosure design, do not waste your money, you would be better off buying a sub and throwing it in a cheap prefab sealed box.

If you want a good sounding cheap woofer that will work good in a sealed or ported box, look at some of the higher end models that Pioneer has.
