Good System?

yes do not run 8 guage i dont know why someone would recommend 8 gauge for 1600 watt amp. just go with 1/0 the first time. knukoncpetz.com you can get a 1/0 kit for 60 bucks. for a box have someone on here build you one. i know the vic has a big trunk so you can get a nice box in there for the Rs to get them loud. i have 2 Rs in 4 cubes on a hifonics 2008d.
i edited the original post changed amps and added a sub, so thats prob why he recommened 8g. alright thanks ill look at their site

oh lol my bad then. but ya check out knukonceptz and there in Ohio so it should be pretty quick shipping as well.

Setup looks like a good starter system. x2 on knu wire or if you have loot go with some kicker hyperflex

car audio is progressive, trust me I will say that you need to start from the ground up. the power needs to be right(the thickest wire, extra batterie, and the big 3) all this stuff is the main thing. If I had to do it all over again that's what I will start with I lost money with so many upgrades. if you can start their. Good luck

mainly people(including myself) need to have patiance, I wanted my setup asap and If I would of waited I would of saved money and time. A good system takes months even years to built( of course for rrgular folks). my system took me almost a year to complete and that's what makes it more worth the wait.

I agree, I just recently had 1 12" type R installed with an MTX 600XD amp and it sounds good for my starter set up. As I get used to the bass that has I will be looking to upgrade but even before I add more to the trunk I am now looking for a nice set of components to go up front.

To the original poster I am basically a noob when it comes to car audio but after getting some stuff installed the other day I must say that sound deadener is also a very good option. I do not know what mine would have sounded like without it but all I know is that is sounds good with it.

this is what i tell everybody, buy the best u can FIRST. never skimp on the electrical either, it makes a big diff once u start adding real power;)
Yea i never really knew much about wires so when I got myself installed I let the guy just use a 4 guage amp kit. If I were to eventually add sub or more power I would have to upgrade it wouldn't I?

x2 on everything. I made the mistake of getting all my stuff at and installed at best buy:crying: needless to say it sucked. Gutted the entire car myself and have been rebuilding up ever since. But I'm never satisfied and I always want/need more.
