Good subwoofer for a beginner

Im looking for a pretty good setup for a subwoofer and amp. I was originally thinking of getting an Orion h2 10.4 or 10.2 and understand that they are pretty expensive. I can get one for 229$ shipped, are there any others that you would recommend for this price range and would put out the same bass. Thank you for your help!

i was thinking of getting a hifonics amp taht would put 1500rms to my sub not sure yet.

I like deep bass and would like to hear my sub from across the parking lot at a local walmart heh. make people smile or want to have my system.

i dont think you would want people to want your system, becuase there are some that when they want it bad enough it will become thiers and you would be out a system and you would be in with damage to your car.

^^^ yeah go with kicker. pretty cheap and sounds loud. but not too clear. you prolly wont be able to tell the difference anyway. (no offense)
