Good Starting System?

So I'm a 17 year old high school kid with a limited income because people don't feel the need to pay kids no matter how hard they work:mad:

so anyways....what do you guys think would be a good starting system?

So far I already got a cheap HU ($50 for a Soundstorm SCD500R), 2 Alpine 6X9s, and an Alpine (not sure the model) amp to push them

I'm thinkin maybe 2 10" AA Assasins in around a 4 Cube Box tuned to around 35hz

as far as front stage, I'm thinkin I'm gonna go with Alpines there as well

So I would need suggestions for an amp in the same price range to push the Assasins and my front stage as well and if anyone would suggest another Sub and Front Stage set-up that would be welcome as well.

Those assassins sound good man, may wanna upgrade on your HU aswell, for better tuning/sound quality, to really get the best out of those subs. They always have good deals in the classifieds on this site, and ebay aswell as other sites.

Make sure your first system is one that you will be totally satisfied with, when I bought my first system, I was unsure if it was loud enough. Of course it wasn't, now I am saving up for another.

So save yourself some frustration and $$$ and do some research before you buy anything and make sure that it's really what you want.

I'm with him, i did the exact same thing....im buying my new system now, well sort of. Still saving for the comp.'s and the hu

Yea don't limit yourself either, find the sub(s) you want and save and get them, dont save like $50 and get something you dont want. I ended up doing that with my HU and now I hate it.

a good starting system will be 2 18" Fi BTl's running on zx2500 and get two kinetik 2400 and a 300 amp alt to back it up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

As much as I hate to say it, they're all right. I just got this system in my truck not long ago, and I'm already planning my next one >_

It's going to be hard to stick it out, but it'll probably save you money in the end. Then again, I've got 2 8"s sealed which isn't that loud anyway (it's loud, but it's not enough //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif), whereas you're starting with two 10"s ported (nice choice on the Assassins, I love these little bastards).

For the amp, I'm gonna suggest the Hifonics BXi 1206D, it really is perfect for those subs, but it's gonna run around $250. As for the front stage, just do what I did and pick up a decent amp off ebay (I got a Planet Audio VX-602 for $30 and it pushes my MB Quarts just fine).
