What are you lying about when one likes his/her beat to "boom" as you put it?
Lying? I don't think so. It's obnoxious, ignorant, and just plain stupid to have a system just so other people can hear you coming. That's what turns people away from this hobby. Look past your own self existance for a second and you'll see how dumbass of an idea that is.
Your first mistake was listening to btnhfan without any sort of evidence. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
True this forum is primarily anti-hifonics, for several reasons probably. The Amps tend not to do rated power. They look cheap and "ricy" (but that never stopped audiobahn - look at them, their stuff is still shit). I honestly don't think too many people here, newbies or regulars, have used Hifonics subs. Why not be one of the first and report back?
I think general consensus would still be, there are better out there for the same price/cheaper.
Those subs, by power handeling specs alone, look to be pure spl subs. I'm not sure if that's what you're going for, but I'd assume not. One would assume you were going for daly driving, correct? Those probably aren't for you then.
If money is conserned, look in the classifieds for some used subs. Re is a major boner here so anything from the SX, XXX, or MT line would do well. Adire stuff is pretty good too. Image Dynamics is awesome stuff, especially for the power they require (read compairably low). There's plenty of other equipment around that you should look into instead.
I would just avoid huge powerhandeling specs on small speakers because they're probably either specs for burps or pure spl woofers (sound shitty for daily)
If you want to do it on the cheap, get maybe 4 of these:
