hhaaha i know im done i swear. I acutally ended up having a 1cu sealed box made for my JBL. Im going to wait on the new DCs to seal a 12 i think

^^^^^^^^^ you think the flatline could take a DC lvl 3? In any case, im just sealin up my JBL and bumpin it as of now. Since i prefer to buy new subs and 100 wont get anything decent. Plus my JBLs only like 3 months old lol

Dayton HO or an Obsidian Audio. Both will be great off that power, are well built, and affordable. And they probably won't even need as big of a box.

Fi Q is a GREAT choice!

As I said before, on that power, sealed, your best bet is an Arc Flatline or an idMax, or that Mach 5. I would deff recommend more power to an fi Q, IMO.

i hear only good things about the fi q, kinda want to try some out.

Sonicelectronix offers RE Audio SEX12D4 (or RE Audio SEX12D2) for $149.

If this budget limit is hard, I'd pick up one of these or perhaps an Alpine Type-R.

Another fine sub for this price is Infinity Kappa 120.9w. It has a switch that flips impedance between 2ohm and 4ohm which is really cool. Very nice, tight sound, possibly due to relatively low inductance. Power rating is "only" 350watts but the thing is pretty loud even on 250watt amp. I am sure this sub is somewhat underrated because based on xmax of 18 mm (or 17?, don't remember) and the T/S parameters, it can take something like 500-600 watts before excursion reaches its one way xmax, Nice sub that I would keep even if I had 1000watts on tap.

You have audited them both? I haven't see negative review of that crappy re sub.. and type-r is great for the money IMO. Modern design with a shorting ring and flat bl curve, 19mm xmax and 600watt power handling. This is more than what most people need in their car.
