Good quality budget amp to run a component set?

Looking for a nice SQ amp that will put out a clean 100+ x 2 rms @ 4 ohms. Most likely I will be using the XO off my HU so I will run the amp Full range or set it to off. My budget is $200 max for the amp.

So far I have looked into

JL AUDIO JX360/2 - 110 X 2 RMS, $170

Arc Audio FD2200 - 100 X 2 RMS, $180

Massive Audio NX2 - 120 X 2 RMS, $130

PPI BK340.2 - 110 X2 RMS, $125

SKAR Audio LP-100.2AB - 100 X 2 RMS, $175

Which one of these will give the best sq? The ppi does it need the BLT?

Out of your choices, probably the PPI or the JL. But I do have an old-school Kenwood KAC-923 that does up to 183W before reaching 1% THD and is nice and compact. PM me if you're interested. I'd let it go for 75 shipped.

I'm looking to buy bnib. I also have to decide on the Comp set as well as amp. I'm gonna order both but have to decide on both first. I'm leaning towards the JL JX360/2 but would like more info and input. What about the Arc Audio amp? I thought Arc Audio was like one of the best sq brands out there?

I think you're going to pigeonhole yourself into a very limited group of equipment if you only buy new. I used to be the same way though. Buying used gives you the opportunity for better equipment. That Kenwood when it first came out in the 90s was like a 500-dollar amp. The Arc Foose are hit-or-miss and really don't get good until you're at least into the KS line. There's a reason I didn't recommend it to you.

I just figured you'd like a break on your budget with an amp that surpasses a lot of new items in terms of build quality, but the choice is yours.

i got to agree with neo on the buying used verses new, why only 2ch? are you not gonna run your 6x9 off same amp as components? I would recommend Arc amp, but like he said its hit or miss with those and i don't know which one your looking at.... i had a arc se4000d that was awesome though...

so with all that said here is my recommendation and its OR best offer i'd throw a offer in on this....

Audioque AQ 200 2 2 Channel 220W | eBay

in your price range and a great amp...

I'm gonna use a 2 channel amp for a component set. I'm gonna run some 6.5" coaxils off the rear HU channels. I just want a good clean 100+ rms x2 @ 4 ohms amp. The JL amp I listed has some really good reviews. I think I'm leaning towards that one. The PPI BK amps also have good reviews but whats up the the BLT is says you need that cost extra?

yeah but where are you finding that new? thats a OLD amp, and if i'm not wrong a a/b power hog...

nope its a d class, its a good amp, but for the money that aq will beat it hands down on every level...

From Woofersetc.com

I don't mind it being a class a/b. Usually they have the best SQ and it's only 200 rms so it will be fine. I only plan on adding about a 1000 rms class d amp after this. I have a 120a alternator and also will be doing the big3 and get a good KS battery under the hood but only once I get my subs and amp later on.

I have been looking into the Skar amp's too and seems like people have good things to say about that one as well. I found on Sonicelectronics I can get the Skar amp plus an 8 gauge wiring kit for $175 shipped. It's down to the JL, ARC, and Skar amp I think.

The Precision Power Black Ice amps don't need the BLT to run. It's an option if you want the best possible input signal that is completely free of noise. We have the iON i350.2 amps for $99.99 NIB and the P1000.1 that's 1,000W @ 1 ohm for $174.99. That's a real 1,230W RMS for less than $300.

I was looking at the BK 340.2. That amp is more up my alley. So the BLT how much is it and will it be a noticeable difference in sound? Also do you hook it up instead of Rca's or what?

I wouldn't recommend any of those amps.

Your shorting yourself by going brand new, and Ruth those brands you chose.

Neo already said it.

If your going 2 channel, get a 200x2.

Why? There's a possibility you don't reach 100 watts before clipping/distortion...

With a 200x2 already you'll make the power you need well before distortion.

And if you go used, you could pick you up something because a JX or PPI... I'm talking like, Zapco or mmats.....

Maybe even a JL HD ....
