good musical subs

Hi I have two vvx 12's now but want to do a upgrade. I was thinking 3k to 3.5k on a pair of subs. My deal is most of the music I listen to I can't enjoy. You all know that the vvx is good for low end bass. I am looking for something more musical. But still want to keep the low end as well. I'm listening to the old east coast music. Like wu tang, mob deep, krs-1. what would you recommended for subs? Thanks

Yes I know. Still looking into options for high output alternator.

I second the xcon. I have a 15 on a brz2100 and it is very musical and plays the lows with authority
